| Chef DonClark Williams the designer of the Tostobueno®, was at an event/party with friends in South Florida, when he observed the host laboring over the tostones and the $2 tostonera he was utilizing. The product was from Puerto Rico and Chef DonClark thought the store-bought product was a novel idea and that he might want to market them on his Internet store, “The Comfort Factory”. Upon his return to NY, he considered buying them from Puerto Rico and asked a friend about importing them for him. His contact person failed to deliver the product and this started the Chef thinking, “I CAN DO IT & I CAN MAKE IT BETTER!” This started the 3 year journey to what is now the existing product he perfected on his terrace in Harlem. Chef DonClark improved the design and made the innovative product to allow for a cups and flats unit.
